So our trip to Tajikistan is sadly coming to an end. Our last day started rather bizarrely when we were woken in the early hours of this morning by a small earth tremor! We had been warned that this might happen however being woken up by the motion of your bed moving was still a very bizarre and unnerving experience!
Fortunately the rest of the day has been much more relaxing. We had a chilled out morning exploring a bit more of Dushanbe and are now looking forward to going out for a farewell meal this evening with the staff from Act Central Asia.
Tomorrow morning we will be heading back to the UK. It has been an amazing experience and a real privilege to have had the chance to meet the staff at Act Central Asia and visit four brilliant Christian Aid partners. Amy, Gill and I can’t wait to start sharing the inspiring stories that we have heard with supporters.
As we have said before, the hospitality in Tajikistan has been incredible and we would like to thank the partners and the staff at Act Central Asia for making us feel so welcome and for sharing with us the fantastic work that they do here.
Rakhmat kalon!
